Fallen devotion is more than just a story- it's a reflection of existential dread, guilt, and human desire for redemption. As a philosophy nerd, I wanted to explore themes like eternal return, choices, and the fine line between love and obsession,
Nietzsche's philosophy is what inspired me into creating this game, particularly ideologies from Thus Spoke Zarathustra and The Birth of Tragedy.
(This is my first vn ever. I have no coding experience so please be gentle, I'm still learning and this is just a demo.)

Three years have passed since your childhood best friend's death. Three years of trying to move on, of trying to forget the misunderstandings, guilt eating you up to the point you couldn't show up to his funeral.
It all started with nightmares so vivid they left you breathless, then the strange signs, from the feeling of being watched to the weight of a presence you couldn't explain.
Everywhere you turn memories of him cling to you, refusing to let go.
One thing is clear though, Clive is back and something about him has changed;
His love for you, once warm and pure, now feels as sharp as a blade.
Every choice pulls you deeper into the waters of grief, longing and the lengths someone would go for a second chance.
What you see is Clive 'reborn' split between two natures, a personification of the eternal return and the balance-or clash-between the Apollonian and Dionysian spirits.
Remember, some promises can open doors that can never be closed again.

(small spoilers) I started this game, I love the concept so much! I got to the scene where he asked to hug us and audibly gasped when i seen the skin options. It's so rare in visual novels when you can actually customize skin tones instead of just being the usual pale skinned blue eyed MC,I nearly cried (yes ik ik dramatic) but omg. THE FIRST BAD ENDING MADE ME SOB. SO DID THE SECOND BAD ENDING! The good ending made me smile, giggle, and kick my feet. AUGH I LOVE HIM.
Everything about this game is genuinely spectacular. Top notch writing, art, design - argghhh! When I told you I gasped at the ending!!! Fantastic start to a story, everything about it, especially the conflict between the mc and Clive is SO compelling. I'm curious to see if the MC's friends full motivations have been shown, given that it seems to be from Clive's perspective... and the film theme to convey how you're flicking through his memories is so clever!! Arghh this leaves the perfect amount of questions!!! One of the best visual novels I've played so far, I am SAT!!
I fell in love with just the demo. The story is already so captivating. The art is stunning. The BG timing is incredible. Ngl, got spooked in a certain spot because I was so engrossed in the story I hadn't realized it went silent and then got jumped scared a little when the music came back on lol. Just the few characters we get to meet have me wondering about them. The themes involved are being handled pretty well and the whole philosophical idea surrounding this story has me gripped. And Clive, sweet, darling, sad boy Clive. Can I just say I'm in love? Because yeah, just the demo alone tells me, shows me, what kind of amazing, adoring man he is and he's in need of some proper loving. TYSM for your hard work! Can't wait for more updates from you if and whenever you get the chance to work on this wonderful story!!!<3
DUDE THIS PHILOSOPHICAL STUFF IS REALLY KEEPING ME HOOKED TO THE STORY LIKE WOW! I'm going to let the story cook but the mc and I... we are not the same. Like fine shyt is there and ... we lose that... how? bc of some stupid shakespeare bs (I mean like in most of shakespeare plays or whatever problems would be easily fixed or things would not go wrong if the characters just communicated properly IDK if that's the case here but if not mb) and I'm just saying I would do whatever in my power to make sure fine shyt like clive never ovethinks dawg
I actually cried playing this the amount of friends I've lost(not to death but you get it) it hurts it does so much this game even as a demo did such a good job at showing the guilt of loss. Also some things that might help make people feel like they're actually in the game is to play regular background sounds just like birds chirping and shit and with stuff like the doorbell to add that sound + when we said we could hear the wind that's be a nice time to add that sound or even just have it then and highten the sound of it when we talk about it also a good sound to fill silence and add suspense and worry/fear to a scene is cicadas! anyway amazing game cant wait for the full release!!!!

first thing I fell in love with was the art style, because it’s something that immediately clung to me. The story was well thought of along with well put together. I hope when and if the full release of the game is published, that it’s free. I honestly can’t and most likely won’t stop thinking about this game
